Two male actors/close friends want to jumpstart their careers. They end up making a big shot producer think that they have a hot script that everyone wants to get their hands on. The 2 men then drive to upstate New York and hole up in a family member's country home- with 10 dedicated days to write said script. Dominic and Raphael then get derailed by a beautiful gardener, Ava and Dominic's sister, Gigi. Both women appear at the house, which was supposed to be serene enough to focus on the task at hand. But to add to the problems, Gigi's boyfriend Wayne arrives, still suffering from PTSD, and his brother Devon as well, creating even more havoc. A looming deadline and complicated personal histories create scenes that are humorous and emotional.

I wanted something to actually end up happening. Ava was the least developed character but the actors were very, very good.
Sometimes good acting can save a bad story.. Sometimes a good story can save bad acting. This couldn't be saved. Talk about watching paint dry. This was like watching paint get sticky.
I really warmed up to this film and the characters in it. The rapport among the performers were emanated beautifully. Soundtrack was spot on, and it was terrific to have the simple detail of the dog filling in Dominick's character.
Less interested in "out of works actors" story than Gigi, Raf, and Sam Rockwell's story.
Expectations were high when I saw Adam Rapp's name attached to this project. Marisa Tomei and Sam Rockwell are such consummate actors that they really carry a great deal of the weight of the film. Feels it could be tighter. Not Woody Allen or Adam Rapp script but feels like is trying to go in that direction.
This is a great story about out of work actors but this isnt it and that premise gets thrown out halfway through.
