The best 119 minutes I've spent in years! Thank-you.
Yes it proved its point. Yes it was very good. Yes we should see it. Thank You!
This is an amazing film; truly eye-opening and thought provoking. There is enough material and information contained in this movie it could have easily been twice as long and I would have looked forward to each additional moment. It is a tantamount to watching at least 5 documentaries at once but, it all culminates in a powerful and important work of art that should be mandatory viewing for, well, every American and I do not mean that figuratively, I mean it literally. But if not by all Americans than at least by every politician and voter. It is telling us we can be better and it shows how we can be better. Bravo Michael Moore!
Go girls!
Mandatory viewing for:
Politicians,
Prison Systems designers,
Educators,
Cafeteria lunch workers,
And everyone else in America.
A lesson well learned.
How will this film get watched by people who need to see it? Congress, voters and CEOs?
Michael Moore explores, discovers and stays in the moment, not afraid of what will happen. He has an agenda but there is enough sincerity in his reaction.
A very enjoyable way to point out ways America could improve as a nation following original ideas from America. Using humor and facts instead of moral outrage to convince people of a point of view works well. Some information regarding our prison system as it relates to the war on drugs was surprising and shocking. On the other hand one could argue some issues presented have a very different dynamic than in America. For example: smaller populations, treatments of immigrants, countries with a more uniform population. That said the points of treating people more humanely, supporting women and the spirit of cooperation rather than conflict really comes through. Slovenia may see an influx of American students. How will they support this financially? Was it on purpose at the end of the Slovenia segment he said
So moving and so disturbing at times, it really makes me want to go to the barricades about so many issues here. School lunches, no homework, discrimination of drug use, no death penalty. No undo punishment, prison systems...
Great!
A bit heavy-handed but for the right reason.
Brilliant film!
Michale Moore - patriot.
Very important! We are so corrupted by the myth of the American Dream, corporate 'personhood', weak government and free market capitalism that Americans forget their government is supposed to enhance the life of citizens rather than control it. We are destroying ourselves unless we learn to relax, strengthen workers rights, and provide support for our citizens.
Loved it!
Great to see a Michael Moore film where he loses the smarmy sense of humor/ridicule. This is a non-confrontational Moore, aware even of his own methodology--'looking to pick the flowers, not the weeds.' Easily the best documentary film I have ever seen.
Wonderful!
The candidates for President should be made to see this film.
Fantastic! This film has so many 'Wow's' for me that I hope all the people that need to see it will and be able to make change. If only social change were as easy as 'Hammer, chisel down.' But bravo Michael Moore (again) for showing us why it is so needed. Thanks, John.
Wonderful and required viewing for all!
It may be propaganda but it is our story propaganda!
This film should be seen by all Americans before election day! Thank-You, Michael Moore.
As per the discussion--one of the best ever--we discovered that Michael and the producers have been working on this film only since February! Astounding cinema.
