“An emotional film that made me feel I was on the journey. Exhausting and painful for the viewer with no resolution at the end. It certainly makes me appreciative of what people will do to see a better life.”

“An interesting follow- up to last week’s film regarding moral choices. Very atmospheric – gives you a real feeling of what that journey was like. The question of who to trust – the Indian is looking at the seeds of his nations’ destruction. The ending was a surprise, but completely appropriate. This is not for most people. Also the piece you read at the end about the political meaning was not something I got out of the film. Questions: Why didn’t they dig for water? Why didn’t they save more resources from the broken wagon?”
“The first 45 minutes was like watching paint dry. In comes the Indian and we add a bit of tension and possibility. The end left open for the sequel? Needed subtitles! The Indian’s singing over the fallen man was a highlight, similar to all religious prayers. Who hired Meek? Michelle Williams character was interesting, vocal and modern.”
