While Joseph Goebbels infamously declared Berlin "free of Jews" in 1943, 1,700 managed to survive in the Nazi capital through the end of WWII. The Invisibles traces the stories of four young people who learned to hide in plain sight.

“Wonderful movie. The world should never forget.”
“What an impressive story. What an impressive film. A remarkable telling of the Jews who were able to hide and remain in Berlin. But how excellent the cinematic mix of contemporary talking heads, historic footage and casted reenactments. An excellent film.”
“Moving story of little-known situation of folks with better luck than Anne Frank. Well done.”
“Especially liked the interspersed interviews. Timely as Museum of Jewish Heritage is actually removing the permanent collection to install an actual train car etc. It works well, understated and still chilling. Amazing how brave we can be. A lesson for all.”
“A remarkable film on many levels, but here’s what I found most concerning. This is a film about the Holocaust that is largely devoid of any scenes of the Holocaust. We never see anyone killed, no one is tortured, no one is even assaulted. There is always an ever-present fear of the unknown – the characters didn’t know what was going on in the camps until much later, but using the Holocaust as off-screen space is almost avoiding the horror. The Holocaust can never be an ‘unspeakable’ or un-showable event.”
“Wow! This film is so well done and is so important that it’s message must be re-told - not only the fact of the Holocaust but the story of survivors and all the Germans who protected them at risk of their own lives. We must remember!”
“Fascinating stories. Curious what happened to Stella? (Ed. Note: To find out more about Stella go to: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stella_Kübler ) A good compliment to WHO WILL WRITE OUR HISTORY? which also shows life in Poland Warsaw and outside the ghetto. I found Ciomo the most fully rounded character, we get that he has a skill set as an artist that can be used to help others. I loved that he bicycled to Switzerland and bought a boat. This film should reflect back to us what can happen in the country right now.”
“Very timely for Remembrance Day this Sunday. I liked the use of real footage. Always wonderful to hear about these true stories. Never forget!”
“This film was gripping using actual people and footage. We must always remember. This story never gets old because we are on the cusp today. France, New York incidents. Wake up people.”
“An amazingly brilliant film. Thank You!”
“An important film on the subject matter must never be forgotten, however, it was a bit confusing to follow. The subtitles went by too quickly and it was hard to keep track of who was who and who did want.”
“This is not anything new or compelling. I think that we have all heard, read and seen Holocaust stories like this. Unless there of a new, dramatic or different story. The subject has been covered and overdone. It even ended with the quote used in SCHINDLER’S LIST. ‘Whoever saves one life saves the world entire.’ Again nothing new in the story or the presentation. Every crime show on TV uses the same format.”
“A very moving film on many levels, and I had no problem with intermixing the documentary footage and the newly created dramatic footage. Yes, that’s a new way of story-telling but whatever it takes to get this important message to the young. A must-see for every student.”
