THE REPORT is a thriller based on actual events. Idealistic staffer Daniel J. Jones is tasked by his boss Senator Dianne Feinstein to lead an investigation of the CIA's Detention and Interrogation Program created in the aftermath of 9/11. Jones' relentless pursuit of the truth leads to findings that uncover the lengths to which the nation's top intelligence agency went to destroy evidence, subvert the law, and hide a shocking secret from the American public.

“Well done and sad that the movie needed to be made. Why does our Government continually cover up in order to be right? Why not do the right thing in the beginning.”
“A must see by everyone.”
“Adam Driver may be the best actor working today, and more importantly he doesn’t overact just because he in the lead role. Like Jones he underplays his part.”
“A well written unfolding of the story behind this report. An important story to come to light and a film that should be shown to students. Glad to hear Amazon is creating a curriculum to accompany it. Shows the misuses of democracy.”
“Wow! Extraordinarily well done and powerful. It is so important that this film and this history be known, seen and discussed. Especially now. I am so glad Amazon has offered school resource materials for it. Thanks John!” Jeanne K
“This film is a civics lesson that should be required viewing for every voter.”
Maybe not MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON, but Mr. Jones does a helluva job in DC. And thanks to Ms. Feinstein as well as John McCain. Makes you almost believe in justice.”
“I vividly remember the photos of Abu Ghraib, I found them chilling to the core, and I was embarrassed to be an American. Rumsfeld and his lot should be put on trial even today for war crimes, crimes against humanity.”
“Superheroes don’t come from Marvel, they come from hard work in windowless rooms with infinite dedication for little compensation. I will greatly encourage all my students to see this.”
“It’s only legal if it works.”
“Political thrillers are often not action films. In ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN Woodward and Bernstein made phone calls and did interviews. Nowadays Daniel Jones just sits behind a computer screen, not exactly the material for stunning visual movie-making. Yet both are thrilling movies, not just because of the outcome, but an exiting exploration of the dedication of those involved and how they worked to make this public, to get at the truth. Yes, there’s still the clandestine meetings in shadowy parking garages, and they still work.”
“Important story that unfortunately still goes on in redacted reports. As a drama, it does not adapt to the movies, too talky and repetitious. Excellent acting by Bening and loved Driver. Also loved the quote from George Washington.”
“Grotesque waterboarding scenes.”
“Best film we’ve seen all year, and we’ve seen some good ones. Thank you for sharing this with us, it’s gold in the classroom.”
“Good depiction of a dark period post 9/11. Lying and cover ups just the tip of the iceberg.”
“Scott Burns has done as magnificent a job in telling this tale as Daniel Jones did in telling his story. Superbly crafted.”
